I started this blog because my sister pretty much threatened to disown me if I didn’t keep her regularly supplied with pictures of the kids doing school and other fun things.  (She is an amazing artist and my children are among her favorite subjects… you can see her work by going here or here.)

I thought about just posting pictures on Facebook, but then as I considered it, I thought it would be neat to have a record of all that I do with the kids on this homeschooling adventure.  My husband encouraged me and assured me that he was certain I had plenty to say.  (Is that a compliment?  I’m not a hundred percent sure.)

So this blog is where I will keep my family (who is quite far away) updated with pictures and news of our educational progress and experiences.  And I will talk about our vacations and birthday parties- all of life is education!  And I’ll write about my reflections on my journey to remind myself later on what I’ve learned along the way.
